Mojca Kocbek, born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, University in Ljubljana in year 2000. After she had completed her studies she acquired work experience in two architectural offices: Sadar Vuga architects and Bevk Perović architects in Ljubljana. Later she continued her studies at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana, where in 2006 she obtained her Masters Degree in Set design/Scenography. Since then she has been working on architectural, interior/design projects and on set design.

In the sphere of architectural work she collaborates with different architects, depending on the type and size of the project and on the level of client’s demand. Her architectural work ranges from middle-scale architectural projects: family houses, public spaces, renovation of old buildings and flats, interior design. In her projects she always places the individual experience of the user first, to unfold in as of yet unwritten stories in the newly built or renovated buildings. Set design is her other passion, testing her architectural skills in a different way, with different scale and different focus.

In 2019, she founded the architectural practice m.kocbek architects, where she continues to tackle architectural and spatial challenges both individually and together with other architects and artists.
