The house by the Ljubljanica river was designed for the client – a mother and her three teenage children. The idea was to design a building that could be converted into a two-apartment house within 10 years. The client’s wish was to preserve the privacy of her residential unit, including the garden and terraces facing the river, even after dividing the building into 2 units.
This is how the building was designed, which with the ‘folding’ of the linear volume forms two separate and private sides of the house, of which one residential unit with a garden opens to the NW and the other to the SE. In accordance with the wishes of the phasing of the building’s redevelopment in the future, all the installations and structural features of the building have been designed.
